2007 LATIN AMERICAN MEETING OF THE ECONOMETRIC SOCIETY (LAMES) ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS

The 2007 LACEA and LAMES meetings will take place in Bogotá City, Colombia, from October 4 to 6, 2007. The Meetings will be hosted by the Universidad de los Andes and Fundación para la Educación Superior y el Desarrollo (Fedesarrollo).

For the second time, the Annual Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association and Latin American Meeting of the Econometric Society will run in parallel at the same place, under a single local organization. By registering to LACEA-LAMES 2007 participants will be welcome to attend all sessions of both meetings.

Mauricio Cárdenas, Fedesarrollo, and Alejandro Gaviria, Universidad de Los Andes, will be the LACEA-LAMES conference organizers. The LACEA Program Committee will be co-chaired by Professor Marcela Eslava, Universidad de los Andes, and by Mauricio Olivera, Fedesarrollo. The LAMES Program Committee will be co-chaired by Professor Alvaro Riascos, Universidad de los Andes, for Theoretical and Applied Economics, and by Professor Joao Issler, Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) for Econometrics and Empirical Economics.
