New Editors Announced

This summer saw several major changes for the Econometric Society publications.

Theoretical Economics:

George Mailath has agreed to be the new Editor of Theoretical Economics, beginning July 1, 2013. He will be taking over from Martin Osborne, who was the founding Editor of Theoretical Economics, which was founded in 2005.  Since January 2010, the journal has been published under the auspices of the Econometric Society.  Martin was the ideal founding Editor, bringing amazing leadership, energy, and dedication to the enormous task of launching a completely new journal.  

Quantitative Economics:

Rosa L. Matzkin has agreed to be the new Editor of Quantitative Economics, beginning July 1, 2013.  She will be taking over from Orazio Attanasio who was the inaugural editor of Quantitative Economics.

Econometric Society Monograph Series:

George Mailath's term as Co-Editor of the Monograph Series ended July 1, 2013.  The new theory Co-Editor is Jeffrey C. Ely. 

Rosa Matzkin is stepping down as Co-Editor of the Monograph Series. The new Co-Editor responsible for theoretical and applied econometrics is Donald W. K. Andrews. 

The Society is very lucky that both Jeff and Don have agreed to contribute their extraordinary skills and knowledge to the Society.
