Econometrica Editorial Board Changes

I would like to inform everyone about some upcoming changes on our editorial board.

Dirk Bergemann and Itzhak Gilboa's terms as co-editors will end on June 30, 2018.  On the next day, Bart Lipman and Alessandro Lizzeri will join the editorial board.  Tzachi handled most of the submissions on decision theory and Dirk handled submissions about mechanism decision and learning.  I have benefitted from their advice for the past four years.  They were fair, efficient, and insightful editors.

Bart and Alessandro have extensive and distinguished editorial experience.  The board will still have the expertise to handle submissions in the areas previously handled by Dirk and Tzachi.  I hope that the new appointments also signal the journal’s commitment to publish applied research.

Ulrich Müller, Aviv Nevo, Gianluca Violante, and Fabrizio Zilibotti remain co-editors.
